Rudy Rucker: ("fiction") The Hollow Earth: The Narrative of Mason Algiers Reynolds of Virginia

As per recommendation by @gardengnome here is an interesting looking book that is labeled as fiction, but may prove interesting (perhaps especially for younger readers or those interested in reading interesting and fund material). The author is also noted for having written a number of cyberpunk books. Here is his Amazon synoptic biography:

Rudy Rucker is a mathematician, a cyberpunk, a computer scientist, and the author of twenty-three novels. He received Philip K. Dick awards for his novels "Software" and "Wetware." Other standouts are his "Collected Stories," his novel "Postsingular," his nonfiction book "The Fourth Dimension," and his recent "Transreal Cyberpunk," which collects his nine stories with Bruce Sterling. In 2018, Rucker published "The Hollow Earth & Return to the Hollow Earth," which includes his steampunk classic, "The Hollow Earth," and its new sequel. And his latest and greatest novel "Million Mile Road Trip" appeared in May, 2019. See the author's trailer video for "Million Mile Road Trip" on this author page.
