Crocker Land at Dave Johnson site

Dean: I got a reply from this Dave Johnson about his photos. He said Crocker Land isn't real and neither is the Hollow Earth. I sent you the same Arctic Ocean Floor photo from Pearys North Pole which I didn't see posted yet. You can almost see the highlighted Crocker Land brushed out. Johnson didn't say how he acquired the photos, but I thought they were authentic. Maybe he doesn't want to say or someone got to him ! From: Ralph

  • Ralph,

  • What? Then why did he post it? Brother, it takes all kinds.

I sent you the same Arctic Ocean Floor photo from Pearys North Pole which I didn't see posted yet.

  • It's from the National Geographic site conneted to matt henderson, the Afro-American who accompamied Peary.

You can almost see the highlighted Crocker Land brushed out.

  • It seems that the opening proper starts just at the Northern part of where he places Crocker Land. I imagine that it is just inside, maybe right past the neck of the opening. It could be rather far inside. An over-the-horizon mirage is one thing, but one coming out of a hole like that is quite another. the temperature differences, i.e., the warmer air coming out is going to rise very high and be propelled very far.

Dean: If you compare the Arctic Ocean Floor photo I sent in to the one on Dave Johnson's site, they are the same except the one that came from the site about Peary at the N. Pole doesn't have that little white spot where Crocker Land is on the other. So someone has done some retouching here. The map above Johnson's Arctic Ocean Floor photo I haven't been able to find elsewhere. I think it would be kind of hard to fake at least three different maps. He never got back to me about a further explanation. Johnson seems to have a thing for maps if you check his site out. You also don't know what type of job he has. Maybe he has access to maps before they are put out. I had nothing but praise for the guy, but if he put the photos on his site just to fool everyone I would have to agree with you that it takes all kinds. From: Ralph

  • Ralph,

  • Oh yeah, he re-touched it.

  • Yeah, really, that he puts out a map showing us the location of Crocker Land is fine, but if he himself doesn't believe it, why is he doing all this?

  • Speaking of nuts, there are 115 of us on this list that think that the Earth is hollow!

# ; ^ )

  • Actually, he has given the location where it really should be if one follows the line of sight from where Crocker Land was seen, i.e., from those Canadian Islands just to the left/West of Greenland, and then taking the line of sight a few hundred miles out across the ice. It was an over-the-horizon mirage.

  • I wrote quite a bit about the sighting in the article Ring Around the Opening.
