Unusual opening in Antarctica with a 'hatch'

Hi, i've just joined this group after hearing Dean on the Red Ice program.

I've just posted an image from Google Earth in the photos section under 'google earth'. It's what looks to be like a lake or cave of some sort near Lake Vostock. The unusual part about it is the structure on one side that looks to be like a hatch of some sort. Has anyone seen this before, and any ideas what it might be??

Hi John, welcome to the group. In my opinion, this could be an entrance into an underground/under-ice base, possibly leading to the hollow Earth, but, I don't think it is the main opening, which I believe is air-brushed out, or, otherwise obscured from satellite(google view)... The south polar opening Admiral Byrd flew into was supposedly about 90 miles in diameter, and in "the smoky god", the opening Olaf Jansen and his father sailed out of had to have some kind of river coming out of the hollow Earth leading to the ocean. JohnF,

Well, that is quite an image. Actually, someone might have posted it before, but I don't think that much discussion on it took place.

So, we can conclude that it is oan opening, a cave opening. But it could be a side opening that leads to the main opening and the hollow earth. Vostok is very near opening in the first place.

And that thing is huge, isn't it?

Good job.

Here is the You Tube of that opening. There are two of them.

Amazing.
