"The term troll ... living in areas like rocks or caves ..."
We already knew it. Were they to live on the surface, they would have been spotted as much as, for example, big foot.

Trolls would have been spotted more than Big Foot if they lived on the surface because Big Foot lives underground, too.
The Almas of Central Asia seem to be the same as Big Foot.
I see, so we have misnomered Big Foot... All along we should have been calling them trolls. This actually makes a lot of sense and also falls in line with the rebranding/re-marketing campaign the cavern worlders have been operating for the last couple/few hundred years.
It would also help us to stop reinventing terms and ways of thinking about things.
This is one of the tricks/problems of science that keeps all of the theories and fields disparate and incapable of achieving unification. This concept of compartmentalization has been used very successfully by all manner of control organizations to keep people divided and spinning their wheels for a very long time.
The term that used to be used was The Abominable Snowman. Now they say Big Foot, as if they were some sort of “cutie pie”. The same thing happens with the monsters on TV. They are all presented as the good guys with the white hats. It used to be the US Cavalry like in the movie Stagecoach, or Rin Tin Tin.
We can call it the Afffable Space Brothers syndrome, same thing.
Cheers!
And then there are the “Greys”, which is an innocuos term. But even the American Indidans used to call them The Ant People. The “Greys” doesn’t communicate any menace, and they are a menace.
Cheers!
@Soretna , @deandddd , I believe the Yeti/Alma/Saquatch/Big Foot , are all variants of the same humanoid species which found mention in the ancient Ramayan epic : The Vanara species , who helped Lord Ram defeat the evil Asura King , Ravan .
The Vanaras were described as semi-human , physically very strong and bigger than the average man . Chewbacca , the loyal humanoid friend of Han Solo in the original Star Wars Trilogy , exactly fits that same description !
While there isn't direct confirmation from George Lucas, there are notable parallels between Chewbacca and Hanuman, leading many to believe that Hanuman served as an inspiration for the Star Wars character. Both figures are loyal companions, strong, and possess ape-like characteristics.
Here's a breakdown of the similarities:
Loyal Companions:
Chewbacca is Han Solo's loyal friend and co-pilot, just as Hanuman is Rama's devoted follower.
Strength and Prowess:
Both characters are known for their immense strength and fighting abilities.
Ape-like Appearance:
Chewbacca is a Wookiee, a hairy, ape-like species, while Hanuman is a monkey god in Hindu mythology.
Rescuing the Princess:
In both narratives, a princess is kidnapped (Sita in the Ramayana, Leia in Star Wars), and the hero, aided by his loyal companion, embarks on a rescue mission.
Mythological Influence:
Star Wars draws heavily from various mythologies, including Hinduism. Jeffrey Armstrong, a Canadian scholar, suggests that the Ramayana's influence on Star Wars is evident, particularly in the character parallels.
While the Ramayana and Star Wars have distinct storylines, the shared themes of loyalty, bravery, and the struggle between good and evil, coupled with the physical similarities between Chewbacca and Hanuman, strongly suggest a connection.

Folks , I’ve said it before on this forum - Earth is actually a “Planet of the Apes” , it is we humans who made an abrupt , lateral entry onto the outer surface of Earth , either from inner Earth or via genetic hybridisation with a more advanced species !
