About underground light, the grren children of Wolfpitt reported a greenish illumination in their world. Our world has a bluish sky, up higher in the atmosphere, it is violet colored. For the light to go from blue down to green is not so big a jump, green is the next color down in the spectrum, and there are worlds below us which are not so far down, either- the children reported that they walked their way to Wolfpitte.
If particles from The Sun have their frequency of ondulation reduced as they pass through a medium, then while passing through the crust after a few miles it would only be natural for the color of the atmosphere down there to change. For example, the setting Sun's rays go all the way down toorange and red because they pass sidelong through the atmospher; that's a LOT of atmosphere to pass through! And the requency of ots light becomes reduced to the red spectrum.
