Interesting day - news-groups prompted to do some searching re: collection of `strange skulls' reports.
What turned up was reports of giant long-skulls in Malta, and the fact that they'd been withdrawn from public view for decades - almost as if the authorities are afraid of public knowledge or discussion of the subject (similarly the Russian authorities were afraid to reveal their `giant skulls' found in Siberia.
But more searching turned up two (disputed) photos and these old publications (which the Maltese authorities couldn't censor (out of print)

And then accidentally came across a picture dated 1851

of a mummified fetus in Peru - which had a `long skull' - the interesting thing being that it _couldn't_ have been created by any artificial skull-binding method - so must have been genetic - i.e. a special breed of human (or something different?)
