The book Our World Vedic Heritage, by P.N. Oaks, tells of a Chinese anchor found off the coast of Central America. It was round with a hole in the middle, which is the typical shape of Chinese anchors, and had Chinese markings on it.
It's not hard to see Chinese characteristics and facial features in American indians. And it's either the Hopi or Navajo language that has a counterpart in Siberia such that there are still a few thousand words in common.
By the way, Marco Polo told of Chinese fur trapping activities going on in the Alaska area, and described the Aleutian Islands.

I read the book that she mentions by Gavin Menzies, "1421" and it was
great. It tells about all kinds of amazing carry overs like linguistic
similarities between the Zuni, groups in Peru, and Chinese; and Asian
pottery techniques being used in Mexico. As a Mormon myself, I believe
that it is only a few tribes, mostly from the Algonquin family, the
Cherokee, Micmac, and perhaps Seminole that might be partly descendants
of Middle Eastern peoples. I'm surprised at the furor that she
mentioned regarding the Book of Mormon. Lonni
