The primary face value reason for this interest is strategic location in
relation to Russia. It has tremendous natural resource value as well.
Furthermore, it has very little human settlement (most people - I believe
roughly 80% of the maybe 55k - who live there are Eskimos - NOT Europeans).
Ultimately with everything that is going on with the Arctic and Antarctic
regions, this move makes a lot of political sense. Personally I believe it

It seems that the NWO is trying to secure the natural resources of the Americas. It has been seen that they are doing everything under the Sun to justiufy and carry out an invasion of Venezuela, for example. And now they speak of securing Greenland, just as England is leaving the European Union in order to link with the USA in trade deals and such.
Note that northern Greenland has no ice buildup, it never has. Also, the grass is green and it is "the greatest habitat of the mosquito", accrding to the explorer Nansen. The wind comes straight down from the polar opening, and it is rather warrm.

Soretna , Dean , Elizabeth , while the 21st Century politics around Greenland is certainly fascinating , that was not the primary reason I got interested in this topic...some profound insights have come out of this article that we were earlier not aware of .
Till date , I had not seen any other book/article that established such a clear linkage to a shift in Earth's Geopraphic North Pole , in such specific terms , with the timeline defined as well .
**Secondly , it gives such an excellent explanation for Mercator's maps and how Mercator confused some of the elements in his understaning of Geography , that mislead Christopher Columbus as well .
Finally , Valery Uvarov's explanation for how the 15 degrees tilt of the Earth , caused by that asteroid strike in 11,500 B.C. , disoriented ALL of astrology . It's an excellent insight into what exactly went wrong with the ancient "science" of astrology , rendering it inaccurate and giving the noble science of astrology a bad name in the minds of all "rational/modern" thinkers :))

Folks , a couple of related points also came to my mind...this article describes how the geographic North Pole of Earth shifted by 15 degrees , due to that ateroid impact in 11,500 B.C.
It stands to reason therefore , that a similar 15 degree displacement happened for Earth's South Pole as well . The question is , can we find any direct evidence of that , the way we can find for the North ?
Secondly , since an asteroid impact caused this huge change in Earth's geographical alignment , it obviously could happen again . As a strange coincidence , we recently started hearing a lot about how Near Earth Asteroids (NEOs) are regularly dashing past Earth .
It makes one think...is the weakening of Earth's magnetic field , prior to flipping of Earth's magnetic poles , somehow allowing more such asteroids zipping across space , to come closer to Earth's trajectory ?? The gravitational view would not concur with such a hypothesis , but the electric universe theory , that considers meteors to be electromagnetically influenced , would .
