I saw a post recently that reminded me of sites before that have "sealed doors" or - as they have mainly been referred to I believe - as false gates, false doors, fake, faux doors, facades, etc... Notice some examples:

There are many more similar so-called facades it seems all over the place, and I have always wondered about these things thinking that it would make more sense that they were sealed in some fashion.
Until recently I couldn't help but wonder how they would be sealed so perfectly.
This seems to couple very well with some discussion I've seen around this book:
Now I don't think this guy's got everything right here. An example are the many precision cuts that we see from ancient times in many places that are part of incomplete works, etc. Ultimately I think he's off base in some or perhaps a lot of his thinking actually, BUT I do believe his work around Natron is incredibly important and ultimately a great source of thinking with regards to these doors and many stone structures that seem impossible by today's standards of thinking.

So, in the end, I cannot help but believe that the ancients used something perhaps similar to this kind of technology / manipulation to seal cavern portals / passages. It would make sense if the cavern dwellers themselves did it also.
