Many long-haul flight times will be dramatically reduced as planes are allowed to take a short cut over the North Pole.
Changes in aviation rules, which apply to twin-engine jets such as a Boeing 777, will mean passengers can reach exotic destinations without making a stop.
During the flights passengers will be treated to stunning views of the Arctic.

know about what goes on down there. But some secrets of the inner core are being
revealed by acoustic waves passing through the planet's heart and iron squeezed
to enormous pressures in the lab."
"Two new studies, both detailed online Sunday in the journal Nature Geoscience,
reveal that Earth's inner core may actually be softer than previously thought,
and that the speed at which it spins can fluctuate over time."
Well, they go into these theories with pre-conceived conclusions; here we are
told that a spinning, inner-core dynamo effect causes the magnetic canopy around
the planet.
Magnetic properties are killed by heat; the temperature that kills magnetic
properties is called the Curie Point and is at 1,400* F for iron. The middle
layers of the Earth's crust are supposed to be so hot that rock becomes soft and
bendable, so how could any magnetic properties pass through a couple thousand
miles of heated rock like that?
Cater spells out the fallacy in his book The Awesome Life Force, Page 139:
"The conventional theory of geomagnetism has about the same merit as some of the
other theories already discussed. According to accepted viewpoint, the major
portion of geomagnetism is the result of electric currents in a molten iron core
2,000 miles below the surface. The theory is automatically destroyed because an
iron core doesn't exist. But even if one did exist, the conventional conclusion
would be equally false. Scientists are somewhat vague as to how a magnetic field
could extend 2,000 miles beyond an electric current. It requires a very powerful
current to produce even relatively weak magnetic effects a very short distance
above the flow. The electrical resistance of iron, at the alleged temperatures
of the core, would be staggering. A steady flow of electricity requires constant
potential differences. How are such potential differences produced and
maintained in this hypothetical core?"
"The magnitude, depth and width of such currents would have to be unbelievable
to extend the magnetic field even a small fraction of the distance required, and
the EMF required to produce it would be even more incredible. Where could such
an EMF come from? So far, scientists seem reluctant about explaining this,
especially since these currents are confined to a ball and would therefore
follow closed paths."
List members, I conclude that their theories are all conscious propaganda, and
not just madness. If I can find these things out and see how fallacious their
orthodox theory is, then the department chairpersons must realize it, too. It is
funny that people are carefully screened before they can study geoscience and
astronomy, and that the only ones to graduate and enjoy careers have to mimic
this nonsense as if they were parrots.

About the idea of the Earth losing its magnetic canopy, I'll say that once we accept that the Earth is hollow, it automatically follows that the magnetic canopy is generated by a solenoid effect. A hollow cylinder or ball with openings at the opposite extremes is a solenoid and, when a solenoid spins, it generates a magnetic canopy.
The magnetic canopy is generated at the expense of any electrostatic fields generated, including the gravitational field, which IS electrostatic, and vice versa. Perhaps all the extra electricity absorbed by the Earth from the accelerated solar flare activity of recent decades is minimizing the magnetosphere. I would have to look into the reduction of magnetosphere to really affirm why, i.e., I would have to read some Cater, maybe even call him on the phone.
But the Earth surely is a spinning solenoid and, therefore, as long as it spins, the magnetic canopy will be generated.

If Earth is a spinning Geode/Solenoid and a Capacitor , thus the energy field will manifest in the big “G “ gravity , the same G in the middle of Masonic Compass and Square .
That is the main force that holds everything together , from string theory to atoms and molecules to stone buildings without mortar , planets , stars , galaxies , universes and branes , in this third dimension . But then everything changes in the fourth dimension which is a plasma state .

The spinning solenoid manifests a magnetic field. This magnetic field exists in relation to electrostatic properties. Usually, slower spinning means less magnetic field and more electrostatic properties, while faster spinning generates more of a magnetic canopy at the expense of electrostatic fields.
What I'm saying is that the Earth's magnetic field is diminishing, but the Earth's time of rotation has not changed, a day of rotation still takes 24 hours. So I am suspecting that greater particle bombardment from the Sun, which is electrical, must be imposing some diminuitive effect on the magnetic canopy. The canopy is not being reduced by a reduction in rotation time.
I agree that we are scratching the surface!

The article quoted is old news, it is dated December 2011.
I think some other airlines have been doing the direct flight before
that. Here is one person's report dated in May of 2011:
Google research indicates airlines were considering direct polar routes
back in 2001. The following August 20, 2002 article indicates "Air
China to Offer Beijing-New York Flight over North Pole"

And it appears non-commercial, or cargo flights, have been occurring
directly over the pole for some time. This article, dated Dec. 24,
2001, says "Today, scores of cargo jets come to and from Anchorage daily
over the North Pole without fanfare. But in 1951, just reaching the
northernmost point on the Earth was cause for much pomp and publicity."
