Another reason I believe Alice was in the Church (Chapel of Mary Magdalene) is because Carrroll's clues in ALL CAPS of EAT ME - DRINK ME--this probably refers the eating and drinking of the Body and Blood of Christ. In the Catholic Church I believe it is the Wafer and the Wine---in the Mormon Church--bread and water. It is a religious ceremony.
