List members , there is still no clear explanation for what caused this ??

Wow! That would have been cool to see. It looks like they may have been caused by the two coronal mass injections. 
Yes @SilverMoon , or who knows , it may even have been caused by some emission from the inner Sun of our Earth itself - emerging from the North Polar opening(s) !!

Folks , the jury is still out on this one...I suspect some of the potential causes have already been "classified" by the Powers that be :))

Ys @deandddd , if this had been caused by a Coronal mass ejection (CMEs) from the Sun , then why hasn't it ever happened before ?? CMEs certainly happen at least once every year , if not more frequently...hmm !
There is definitely something being hidden here !
