When I was younger I fell madly in love with a wonderful little gal. So I went to her parents and ask their permission to marry her.
I was 40 and she was 10.
"Absolutely not", screamed her parents. "You are four times as old as her."
I waited five years. Then I ask the parents again
I was 45 and she was 15.
"What part of no don't you understand?", moaned her parents. "You are still three times as old as her."
I waited fifteen years. Then I ask again if we could marry.
I was 60 and she was 30.
"Not only no but HELL NO", they said. "You are still twice as old as her."
The story that asks the question is:
How long must we wait till we are the same age and can get married?
