About the nasty personal attack as posted on various lists:
I should not have been surprised, as being friendly in
person-to-person interaction, yet "shafting" someone behind his
back with allegations and twisted facts, seems to be a modus
operandi of sorts in this instance. I base this on the fact that I
had actually thought that, despite our often differing opinions, we
were still friends who respected one another; and on the fact
that, unbeknownst to another online individual, she has shown
me his most PRIVATE personal messages in order to gauge my
opinion as to his sincerity, sanity, trustworthiness, etc. True to
my word to her, however, I will NOT repost or reveal this man's
messages to her, hers to him, or her opinion of him as
expressed to me. Not unless this type of thing escalates, at any
rate.
This was very disappointing, but I guess I provoked it by daring to
express skepticism and logical questions regarding supposedly
"spiritual" matters and their impact on real-world events.
Asking for "proof" is apparently not allowed or tolerated among
those who consider themselves to be "enlightened" or "gifted" in
a special way. I DO NOT DOUBT OR DENY that such individuals
may very well exist, but I think that such "sensitivity" is not like a
faucet that can be turned on and off, accessed at a moment's
notice, and so on. More often than not, "genuine" cases of ESP
ability seem to be spontaneous in nature, as do encounters with
anomalous beings, entities, and other phenomena.
