In that post about Macmilan's mirage, I suggested that the mirage was
reflected from the polar opening to the inner world, around or just below
the neck, for example. This was first suggested by Jan Lamprecht in Hollow
Planets.
It also occurred to me that some of you might find it hard to believe that a
mirage can be reflected over such long distances, i.e., from one side of the
Polar Basin to the other. Jan dealt with that masterfully in Hollow Planets,
and I can do no bette. So I am attaching pages 439 and 440 from Hollow
Planets in support of the idea that MacMillan's mirage traveled quite a
distance across the Polar basin, from ove above the New Siberian Islands.

that jan is not a cool cookie see in my past i was a fire fighter emt here in alaska and a battle field medic in the army i was responding to an article about aids witch i know a bit about blood borne pathogens and air borne.. plus the ex governors mr hickles son here in seward i worked with in the ems field well he did missionary work in africa and told me that where he was there were3 out of 4 people with aids and said and i quote also backed up by the history channel documentary that aids was also being spread by sand fleas there they bite and suck blood that's how its been spreading also.. so i also think misquotes can spread it also if sand fleas can so can they she told me i was a liar full of rubbish ...and she is so wrong a pandemic may be on the horizon because aids seems to mutate which has been documented and might become airborne after a while in which many doctors and scientists around the globe agree on its just a matter of time so i wrote her back you are so wrong jan so she banned me on us policitics so i called jan a ass for talking shit... but the medical filed i know a thing or two and that i am not kidding about.... i also told her about the last pandemic in the early 1900s and how the villages up here put sharp shooters to kill any one coming in to there villages for fear of it spreading up here she called me a liar on that and she was so wrong again its well known up here and documented and was on the history channel also... this person seems to talk shit with out checking if their facts are straight ..first then gets very mad when confronted with the facts.and truth maybe she or he should watch the history channel a bit more or keep up on her or his history before acting as if she or he knows it all see every one can always learn some thing new... that goes for all of us....why ban some one for the truth i think Jan is not so cool........... you how ever seem open minded and don't pass judgment right away i like that any ways.... i could tell you lots of strange things from alaska that i have seen first hand its just a matter of believing what you hear.. from me... some things will seem hard to believe but when i tell you my word is on it its so... and my word is on this take care robert h mackey seward alaska
