@Ephraimite , I've been trying to find a correlation of these "blue holes" on the sea floor with something we've known about on land...well , perfectly circular sinkholes , that occasionally pop out of nowhere .
I think the same sinkhole phenomenon can and does occur even on the sea floor . The shape is the same, the depth is also similar to sinkholes on land , just that these "blue holes" happen to be underwater , hence look even more mysterious than those on land...hmm !
