+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
It you can, check out the skies tonight or sometime during the next few days through to the New Moon on Jun 21. At about 10:30 PM or so, you can see the Milky way almost straight overhead, streaking from the Southeast to the Northwest. This great vault the Egyptians named Nun, the sky goddess who was the source of all life. Wading through it, or some have said jumping over it, is the great cosmic cow, whom the Egyptians named Hathor. The Milky Way streaks under Hathor right where her udders are. In typical Egyptian earthy humor, this constellation rules Egypt by being directly overhead during the summer time of the annual flooding of the Nile Valley, feeding the land and the plants with a rich new allotment of nurishing minerals. From this you can see where the "Milky Way" got its name and you can see how far back the old nursery story of the "cow jumps over the moon" goes.
Right in the middle of the cosmic mother cow Mars is now the brightest star in Heavens, glowing slightly orangish or reddish, looking for all the world like a jetliner coming in for a landing. You can't mistake it.
Naturally this will be directly overhead at around Midnight, (MDT) exactly 180 degrees opposite the Sun. You can watch the New Moon crescent appear sometime late next week and then move progressively each day to align with Mars near the front shoulders of the cosmic cow.
Do check it out, this will transport you back to the earliest days of Egyptian civilization which was the origin of ours.
