Thanks for the sanity check Jim, LOL. I want to
remind the list just before the next "crescent
Moon" to look up in the sky and hopefully it is a
clear night. From what I have noticed, so far, is
that there is only a two-day window, just before
and on the crescent Moon. My "theory," is that
at this phase of the Moon you can actually see
the dip at both polar regions of the Moon, and it
seems the top of the Moon leans a touch more
towards the Earth, because the opposite side of
the opening can be seen ever so slightly, but the
lower polar opening closest side must be on the
same plane or slightly higher, because you can
only see the notch from the dip. For NASA to say
that this is because of large craters is not a good
enough excuse for me at this time; this can be
observed with the naked-eye, and my eyes are not
perfect, but people that have looked up during this
phase are reporting the same thing. I want to make
an effort to look at the "crescent Moon," during
its "waning-phase," to see if the same observations
are occurring.
