Thanks for taking the time to observe the Moon,
down-under, but too bad you didn't see this.
Getting feed-back from at least one person on
the list warms my heart. I know what I see up there,
with the naked eye, and when I saw it again, last
month, in Athens Greece, I called my friend who
lives there and he saw it, too. It's good for people to
be interested what might exist under foot, but
sometimes it would do good to look up at the sky
once and a while, also. I am going to get my hands
on a telescope and wait 'till just before the next
crescent moon to get a closer look, because this
anomaly is not being spoken about by anyone, and
I hope I can photograph this happening. Thanks again!
Your forever well-wisher,
Mike, NYC

The end points of the Moon can appear roundish because the Moon wobbles. I think that the effect you get would be of one point being sharper and the other rounder and blunter.
Jam Lamprecht wrote about this feect in relation to Venus, the blunt cusps of Venus.
