List Members,
Here is something from Jan Lamprecht. Remember that Olaf Jansen reported
life forms previously believed to be extinct.
In the Bhagavat Purana, there is a definite narration involving a flying
snake. It used to be posted on the internet, but I think that they took it
off.

Subject: [HollowEarthMystical] Living Dinosaurs & Flying Snakes
Hi Jeff,
I finally got my Real Player sorted out and have started listening to
your interview of John Kirk. It is most interesting. I'd like to follow
this man's revelations.
I had followed the Mokele Mbembi story with great interest some
years ago. I am curious about John Kirk's mention of dinosaurs in
southern African paintings. I've never heard of that.
I tend to believe the Mokele Mbembi story. There was a scientist at
a local university who was very interested in the story, but to my
knowledge he found nothing really new.
I think it is quite possible that there could be undiscovered animals
at the equator in Africa. The Democratic Republic of Congo is 1/4
the size of the USA and has only 42 million people. Angola is half
the size of Europe. The DRC has masses of rivers. I have read that
at the turn of the century, there was an instance where some white
men claimed to have spotted a big herbivorous dinosaur in a river in
the DRC. They said it was brown in colour.
I am very keen to see what John Kirk comes up with when it is
released on the Discovery Channel.
The only truly strange story I know of in southern Africa is the
Namibian snake story. Another one which apparently came from a
news report in the 1950's was of pterodactyl's in Zambia. But there
was no follow-up I know of.
There is a story I happened upon which is extremely bizarre and
which I thought I might mention to you.
A few years ago, a South African fellow funded a documentary
which was shown on South African TV only. It was called "The
Giant Flying Snake of Namibia."
I taped the documentary at the time because it was so bizarre. I
actually contacted the fellow who made the documentary and
spoke to him. Some time later he left and went to London. He was
trying to get support for his expedition.
The story is extremely weird. In a nutshell, there is an extinct
volcano near the little town of Keetmanshoop in Namibia.
Apparently the blacks who live in the region say that there is a
giant snake which flies around and has a light on its forehead.
Apparently they sometimes report this to the police station.
The documentary had accounts of a few people who had seen the
creature. One woman was going down to fetch water when she saw
a snake floating 1 foot above the ground. It just floated, rising and
falling slightly.
The most interesting sighting of it occurred in 1940 or 1941 by a
young white boy. His father had ordered him to look after some
sheep. There was a 300 ft hill nearby. He climbed the hill and
spotted a snake. The snake hissed at him and had small
"winglets" by the side of its head. He threw a rock at it and it
hissed angrily. Later he went to the bottom of the hill. Suddenly he
heard a "plop" and looked behind him and saw the same snake
there. The snake hissed angrily. He got a fright and ran away. As
he ran away the snake rose and glided upwards to the top of the
hill.
The boy's story spread around rapidly. An ex-Policeman went to
the hill and found the snake in a cave. He dynamited it! (bummer!).
But later, the scientist who discovered the Caelocanth (can't
remember her name now), was called to investigate this improbable
story.
Interestingly enough, the "boy" is now an old man in an old age
home. He was interviewed on the documentary. The scientist was
also interviewed on the documentary.
According to the "boy" he says his story is true even though it
sounds completely improbable. The scientist still remembered the
incident. According to her, she went there and found the spot
where the snake had plopped down. She had studied it and found it
to be the scales of a large snake. She noted that the snake
seemed to "hop" and she surmised it might be a "wounded
python." Thus she had some physical evidence to substantiate the
incident but beyond that there were no eye-witnesses.
Bushmen and others say there is a long tradition of this flying
snake.
I did some investigating of this story because I was curious as to
how it might relate to the Hollow Earth.
After talking to the fellow who made the documentary and who tried
to find the snake, it seems as if the snake emanates from the
extinct volcano. The "carbuncle" on its head (light) is similar to
stories of dragons with a light of their own. I wondered if the snake
story could be true and if it was a subteranean dweller under
normal conditions.
I also wondered if it was possible for an anima to "fly" not by
aerodynamics but by anti-gravity. I wondered if, like the electric-eel,
whether there was a way of having bio-electricity affect gravity.
