Didn't Erich von Däniken talk about this place (or one like it) in one of his books?

List Members,
I can't imagine that the residents of the cavern worlds below would just leave such tell-tale signs in accessible caverns, so close to the surface. With their advanced technology, e.g., UFOs, one would imagine that they would know what was left behind by the Incas near the surface. What can we conjecture in this regard?
All in all, I find that Von Daniken's books are a splendid source of information, even though he is not a hollow earther. He does seem to hint at, if not out-and-out comment about, worlds below within the crust of the Earth. In this sense, Daniken goes a step further than David Hatcher Childress, another great writer, ("the Moon is not a lake district"), because Childress only recognizes tunnel systems as they take one from one point on the surface, such as the Peruvian Andes, to another point, such as the Amazon jungle.
Daniken makes for enjoyable reading, too.
