There are linguistic connections between Japanese and the Dravidian languages of southern India. Yonaguchi used to be on the surface, perhaps the sea level was lower. But if there had been more land mass in the Pacific, such as Kanya Kumari and the Pacific continent of Mu, then that would go a long way towards explaining such linguistic connections.
