Ellsmere Island map

Dean: The site for the Ellsmere Island map is at discovery.html go to the index and click on maps. Then to the Canadian artic map. I wasn't able to send the map. The white dot match I found is the semi-circular area about an inch below the words Ellsmere Island on the map. Comparing it to the Earth View photos of this area, there does appear to be land to the west where none is shown on the map. Please let me know wht you think. From: Ralph

Ralph,

This address, ending with html, got me nothing:discovery.html

So I went to www.discovery.com , and in the index section there was also nothing about maps. Give me a better idea, I'd like to see.

Who knows what is up there in the Arctic, or where. There could be an uncharted land mass such as Crockerland, who knows?

Dean: I was using a google search for Ellsmere Island map at discovery.html There is a better map of Ellsmere on the same site. It's Arctic Region (Reference Map) 2000 (314 K) It shows the Alert base at the very north. The land does appear to be shown to the west. I guess you have to watch which way you are holding the print out. From: Ralph

Ralph and Members,

Here is the Discovery index which Ralph has referred to: [http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Oracle/2596/index.html](http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Oracle/2596/index.html)
Now that I have found it, I can't look, I'm on the run! You all look at these maps and tell me something. I'll be checking it all out tomorrow.
