UFO contactee George Adamski related the following information about the cloud canopy on Venus and the one that the Earth used to have:
" This ended the showing and I was invited to ask questions. First, I asked what effect, if any, the constant cloudy condition over Venus has on its peoples.
Orthon replied, "In addition to living according to universal laws, our atmosphere is a contributing factor toward an average life span of one thousand years. When the Earth, too, had such an atmosphere, man's years on your planet were correspondingly far greater than now.
"The cloudy formation surrounding our planet acts as a filter system to weaken the destructive rays which otherwise would enter its atmosphere. I call your attention to a record contained within your own Holy Writ. If you study it carefully, you will notice that the span of life on Earth began to decrease when the cloudy formation lessened and men there for the first time saw the stars out in space."
Not to pop any bubbles, but George Adamski, I have read, was to later admit
to his works being more of a fictional account than factual, if you know what
I mean. His first books were interesting as he philosophized over many
issues, but his later books exposed his inconsistent imagination. He later
recanted on most of his claims. Interesting, but not very reliable. Your
quote revealed clues to Adamski's motives. When you have Space Aliens
quoting our biblical scriptures to justify their points, then you can easily
recognize the source of his concepts.

Have any of you ever heard of or read, "The Venusians" by Lee Crandall?
He was my dad's cousin and in the early fifties, just barely before the UFO
craze really got going strong, he wrote this about his contact and travel to
Venus. Many people in the family thought he was nuts! But the older I get
and the more I read, the more I think he may have just been telling the
truth. He wrote a manuscript for a second book, that never was published
(which I have). My mother who was skeptical of almost everything said that
she had believed him because she knew him and that his demeanor changed over
a slow period of time from what he was to a person who now "Knew Something".
Anyway, I just wondered if any of you had heard or read his book.

I have a Venus article up, called Venus, Venera Nine and the Puranas.
I bring out a few descriptions from the Vedic literature about Venus,
which is considered to be a heavenly planet.
I have a website, but its not devoted to only
Venus. However on the Articles button, there is
one article on Venus. And on www.spiritweb.com
can be found some information on Venus. However -
the information is mostly channeled. I choose to
accept this info. Some will not. I 'feel' a close
connection to the Venusian energy. Then there are
the reports about Val Thor and his team coming to
earth and he - staying at the Pentagon back in
the 1950's or 60's or earlier. I have those
pictures, but they are on spiritweb.com I think??
I would like additional new information.

Dean, I am not sure about copyrights, but then again the book is some 40-50
years old so it may not matter. The manuscript for the second book though
I would not make available as I do not think it was ever printed and he may
not have wanted it printed after all.
If the first one is okay to put online, I would have to have someone type
the text for me because I do not have the time to do it myself. I could
scan the pictures as there aren't many of them. But I wouldn't want to let
the book go as it's the only copy I have. I would have to have someone
local type it for me, then let someone like you or Viv put it on the web.
This book is not about channeling or astral travel. He claims they came
here, showed themselves to him and others and took him to Venus in their
craft several times. It's a rather interesting book. I will see about
getting it typed out.
