List members , here is the incredible story of the ancient Tibetan monk Milarepa , the only man EVER to scale the sacred Mount Kailash .
Nobody since then has achieved this feat...Mount Kailash is just over 7,000 meters high , so is not even amongst the top 10 highest peaks of the world , but the mysterious energy on and around that sacred (hollow ?) mountain makes it impossible to reach it's summit . Over time , it has become a taboo to even make such an audacious attempt . All who have tried since Milarepa have either died or become insane .
Moreover , since the annexation of Tibet by China in 1960 , the Chinese government even officially denies permission to any mountaineering expedition for scaling the summit of Mount Kailash :-
