An update from my publisher.

FYI, to anyone who might have ordered my new book. Apparently
someone may not want the information it contains to be
disseminated.

Good thing that the publisher has top-notch server security! The
server could not be hacked, and the book goes forward despite
efforts to stop it.

Subject: Sigh....

Hi Friends,

It's been an interesting journey publishing Caverns,

Cauldrons, and

Concealed Creatures by Mike Mott. Murphy's law has kicked in

on almost > every front. > > They're going to go out Friday and Saturday. Our webpage says
we will have

them out by the end of the month. That's tomorrow. So we

missed it by a

couple of days. For that I sincerely apologize.

Those of you who are regular customers know that customer

service and

getting the orders right out is a serious thing to us. So it's

been

frustrating to have the delays.

The latest glitch (and last, I'm sure) is the cover. We got the

front cover

just fine - it's the stock for the back that didn't make it with the

front.

They'll be here Friday. I really don't fault the printer too much,

though,

because it's just an incident in a series.

The first thing that happened was that hiddenmysteries.com

went down for a

couple of days. (With three companies scrambling to find the

problem

continuously the entire time.) It was the ONLY site out of the

many (all

controversial) on our server that went down so that was a bit

suspicious to

begin with.

Well, it turned out that it was hacked at the router (before it ever

got to

our server). Hmmmm.... that took some knowledge and

professional ability!

Mike, the author of Caverns... noted that we had just released

the

information on his book. I kind of passed that off at the time

thinking....

naah... not just for that!

Then we discovered through the server logs that someone had

tried repeatedly

to hack into hiddenmysteries for about a week. Apparently, the

security is

good enough so they couldn't - so they went through the router

to shut it

down.

Well, I had to admit to myself that we'd put up Mike's book just

about a

week before that. Interesting coincidence. Now, whether that's

the reason

or not, we'll never know but that was the only new information

we'd put up

at that time....

There were other challenges but, frankly, they're not important

because

we're finally there. The book goes out Fri. and Sat. with or

without the

perfect backs.

But all this reinforces what I first knew - the information in this

book is

*very important*. Mike is an incredible researcher and this has

been a

life-long study for him. And I've spent enough time on the

phone with him

to have enormous respect for his insights and his integrity.

One important bit of information in the book that has stuck in

my mind since

I first read it, is of iron and certain metals - their LONG history

in

folklore in averting abductions. People used to put a nail under

the bed

and do other such things claiming it kept the abductors away.

The horseshoe over the door... is that where that comes from?

(It certainly

is bad "luck" to be abducted. <g>) I wonder how much the

nearby presence of

that electromagnetically charged metal would also avert some

of the negative

fruits of this type of entity -- i.e.. telepathically implanted

thoughts and

commands, microwaves and such...? (Just musing, here.)

Well, I've taken enough of your time. I just wanted you to know

that you

WILL actually see the book you ordered and relatively soon,

now.

Be well,

Jocelyn
