[allplanets-hollow] Straight-Line Theory

DD,

Dr. Raymond also wrote a book titled, "From Chrishna to Christ." This is,
too, listed in the catalog by the Health Research Group. It is a fasinating
book. But, I warn all believers in Jesus as being the Christ to keep an open
mind; either way you go it will still blow your mind.

MM

The story of the birth of Krishna is identical to the Nativity. Hazel.

My friend JJ, who is an excellent ancient mysteries sleuth, and writes for
Farshores wrote this piece;

Was Jesus Really A Hindu God? By J.J.

Agni, the Holy Fire of Ancient Hindu religion, was "born" when Twastri, the
Divine Carpenter, the god's father, created the divine spark of new life
using a pramantha. This lance-like piece of wood was passed through a hole
in the centre of a cross formed from two pieces of wood fastened by four
nails. The god's mother, Maja [pronounced Maya], dwelt within the cross.
Emile Burnouf, in his work La Science des Religions [first published in the
1870s] wrote "In the Rigveda we find hymns of heavenly beauty in praise of
this new-born divine creature. The little child is laid upon the straw;
beside is the mystic cow, that is, the milk and butter destined as the
offering."The child was baptised on an altar with soma [purified butter],
receiving the name akta meaning "anointed" [like the Hebrew "messiah" and
the Greek "christos"]. The event was greeted with widespread rejoicing from
the Earth and Heavens [devas - angels] through hymns. The god now outshine
the rising sun and the full moon that flanked him. For, having grown "rich
in glory he sends forth his blazing flames; he shines in a cloud of smoke
which rises to heaven like a pillar, and his light unites with the light of
the heavenly orbs."[Burnouf]Agni was the King of Kings and taught the
Doctors, revealed the mysteries of life to humans, and was named Jatavedas,
"He in Whom Wisdom is In-born". In other words, Jehovah. In c.1500 Central
Asian warlike nomads, the Aryans, had invaded and settled in Northern India,
their incursion probably causing the downfall of the Indus Valley
Civilization. The Aryan?Ts gods included Agni and Indra, the King of the
Gods and Storm God. Their sacred texts, the Vedas, are central to Hinduism.
As the Persian Empire stretched to the Indus, they came into contact with
the Hindus. In the late 4th century BC Alexander the Great, by conquering
the Persians, pushed the boundaries of his own empire to the Indus. The
cross is an ancient universal symbol. There are many versions, the most
common being the conventional cross, the Ankh and the Tau. All were depicted
by the Ancient Egyptians and Meso-Americans, the Ankh by the former. The
Greeks, ancient Irish, Meso-Americans and Phoenicians depicted the Tau. The
cross with four nails was also widespread. Schliemann mentions that it, and
the swastika variant [a Sanskrit good luck symbol; as the Nazi version was
reversed, this meant ill fortune], appeared in ancient Hindu temples and
epics such Ramayana, on ancient Greek vases, including several Corinthian
ones he owned and "two very ancient Attic vases" owned by Professor
Kusopulos in Athens, which had been dated to about "1000 years before
Christ." It was also used by the Hittites [it was a winged disc like the
Ancient Egyptian sun symbol cneph] and Celts, especially on the latter's
stone crosses, for example at Meifod Powys, the Maen Achwfan Cross,
Whitford, Clwyd, and on Iona. The central part of the Kildalton Cross,
Islay, Strathclyde, appears to bear the Sanskrit swastika! It also appeared
in catacombs. During his excavations Schliemann discovered numerous items
bearing these symbols in the lowest "Trojan" layers. This lead him to
conclude that "The primitive Trojans...belonged to the primitive Aryan
race".1 Schliemann's dated the foundation of Troy at c.1400 BC, yet current
thinking has taken Troy II, Schliemann's Homeric Troy, back to the third
millennium BC.2 But why did this symbol have world-wide significance? The
clue lies in myths and legends concerning a common land of origin claimed by
all these peoples, which lay either in the far west or east depending on
their location. Whether it was the Atlan of the Aztecs and Mayans, the
Celtic Avalon or the ancient Hindu Attala, we know this place by the
Platonic name, Atlantis. From the air the great Royal City had the
appearance of a gigantic Celtic cross, the stem being a canal 9 km long,
stretching from the sea to the central citadel [housing the palace and
Temple of Poseidon with its sacred grove], other canals formed the
cross-arms, while the "wheels" were alternate rings of land and water. The
cross preserved the memory of this ancient homeland that vanished in a
series of cataclysms about 12,000 years ago. recounted in numerous
world-wide myths and legends, and in the Bible in Genesis and Revelations.

Discoveries Made on the Site of Ilium, and in the Trojan Plain, ed. by
Philip Smith, 1976 [first published in 1875, pg 157 2. Paul G. Bahn, Lost
Cities, London, pg 82

JJ, Like many scholars is confusing Atlantis, with the lost Paradise, Eden,
but I know he will eventually come round to the Hollow Earth Theory. Hazel.

Hazel,

I also am aware of the similarity, no, the identity of the story of the
birth of Christ and the story of the birth of Krishna.

HOWEVER, this subject matter gets us off topic. Some members won't feel
comfortable discussing this subject on a HE list.

It is always ok to make a side comment, but this one might keep going, so
let's be content with our comments for now.

Dharma/Dean

Point taken Dean, Religion and Roots can be touchy subjects. Hazel.
