About Migration

People,

The mammalian migration Northwards, in the Arctic region, is not just
an isolated or once-in-a-while event. It happens typically, and on a
large scale. Sadek Adam quotes Captain Beechy as saying that, at 79*
North he saw a column of birds estimated at four million. He also
quotes one Commander Osbourne as saying that" Reindeer, musk-oxen and
other animals inhabiting the islands of do not migrate Southwards to
aviod an Arctic winter. Finally, he quotes professor Adams of St.
Petersburg saying that reindeer go Northeast from the River Lena every
year (at the Arctic coast of Siberia) and return again in the Spring in
good condition.

So, of course, we have to conclude that there is seasonal migration in
and out of the opening.

People,

Gardner even makes the point that the marine life,
i.e., shoals of fish, are so abundant in the Arctic that it is
flabergasting. He mentions that the fish are fat and strong in the
Arctic,
while they become more emaciated by the time they reach the Southern
coasts
of Europe.

The migration North for the winter has been witnessed again and
again, from
the Greenland side as well as from the Siberian.

It is this migration North which makes me think that terra firme must
be
accessible by foot during the winter. This HAS to be the case because
there
have been so many sightings of mammals way out on the ice. Bears and
foxes
don't fly- not yet, anyway. MacMillan reported some huge wolves above
Ellesmere when they went out that time, across the ice, in search of
the
sighting of land. We are under the impression that living entities in
the
hollow world are giant sized.
