Lonni,

Apparently, they are saying that the magnetic pole has moved, but they aren't saying the the Pole itself has moved. I'll buy it.

The magnetic poles have to do with the way that particles congregate on their way out of the opening, at what point, at what speed, and following what path (the path of least resistance, of course).

All of this depends on the intensity of solar activity.
