Hi Mike--

Water and fire have always been symbolic in rituals. Baptized by water, transformed by fire. But, the #5 refers to the fifth element of ether--which can be referred to as disappearing, or in a sense, returning to God in spirit form. 5 is also symbolic of a sudden change of events.
