Saturn's flattening at the polar extremes

An image taken by Brian Hamilton on Facebook shows Saturn’s flattening at the polar extremes. The flattening as seen sidelong is a prelude to the inwards sloping of the opening to the inner world, which can be thought of as an hourglass-like.

The image can be currently found, and not very far down the Discussion list, on the following Facebook page: Maksutov & Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescope Owners Realm Use the Facebook search function.

Brian Hamilton also has it up on his personal Facebook page: Brian Hamilton | Facebook

And many other planetary images.

Cheers!

Are you referring to images similar to these? Unfortunately the Facebook page is membership only:

I don’t do fb (in fact, it is blocked on my computer). Do you have a screenshot?

SilverMoon,

My computer was whacked out of shape.

The images were similar to the ones that Soretna posted.

Cheers!
