THE HUDSON VALLEY STONE CHAMBERS---LOST IN TIME---AND FOUND AGAIN THROUGH U.F.O. EXPLORATIONS
FROM MOON ROCKS TO EARTH'S BALANCED ROCK!
*****The BALANCED ROCK, a 60-ton "dolmen"-like array in North Salem, Westchester County, New York, is the centerpiece of a controversy about the origins of old stone chambers, now believed by some to be of Celtic origin, scattered northwest of this giant rock. The Rock and some chamber sites have been scenes of reports of unusual beings, temporal and spatial anomalies, and UFO sightings, regions explored extensively by the SPACE Away Team Encounter Explorers.
"CELTIC MYSTERIES IN NEW ENGLAND"
UFO researcher and astronomy teacher Philip Imbrogno, author of "Night Siege: The Hudson Valley UFO Sightings," with Allen J.Hynek and Bob Pratt, detailed the famous and dramatic sighting flap in the counties above New York City in the 1980's.
Imbrogno and Marianne Horrigan, a paranormal researcher, co-authored "Contact of he Fifth Kind," exploring close encounters of the fourth kind and abductions related to those sightings in the Hudson Valley.
Now Imbrogno and Horrigan have just published a remarkable new book, "Celtic Mysteries of New England," about their extensive and intensive studies of the old stone chambers that dot the Hudson Valley, which pre-date Colonial Times, around which many UFO sightings in the 1980's seemed to cluster.
"I think you will find it very interesting. There are a number of experiences that might be similar to yours," wrote Imbrogno to Harold Egeln on March 14th.
"It is an important contribution to how ancient cultures and power places tie into UFOs. It is probably the best book written by an American researcher in the last couple of years," writes Timothy Green Beckley, "UFO Universe,"
Here is Harold Egeln's review.
A MYSTERY WRITTEN IN STONE....
** Philip Imbrogno and Marianne Horrigan are the Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson of UFO research.
"Celtic Mysteries In New England" is their gripping account of their search to solve a mystery written in stone, as to who may have built old stone chambers founded scattered throughout Putnam County and New Egland and their apparent use as portals and/or beacons by UFOs.
The chambers stand as sentiels from a lost history and, perhaps, as "Guardians of Forever," watchers of time and space from realms in other realties and dimensions.
In the book, I was able to make comparsions with some of SPACE's experiences, giving confirmation and backing to this gripping book. We have been to some of this sites dozens upon dozens of times, as highlighted by our Contact section, which only really touches on our own experiences.
We have also done our own extensive on-site studies, especially in the md-1990's through the help of researcher Roberta Puhalski, then of Connecticut and now the SPACE-South Director in Florida. She has shown slides of the sites in public presentations in Georgia.
Fated to become a classic and certainly a work of outstanding scientific research, with experiential accounts, the book talks about hooded and robed figures, spook lights, shimmering waves, forces within the chambers, time distorations, the role of the Irish and Celts, orbs of light, buzzing and humming sounds from the chambers, the electromagnetic pulses, negative magnetic anolomies recorded, and other aspects of stone chambers mystery.
"The chambers may actually act as a bridge to allow the past, present and future to co-exist together," the authors write. "We believe that an invisible alien intelligence emerges from this doorway and manifests itself in our world as the UFO phenomemon."**
In the beautiful hills and woods of Putnam County, a 75 minute drive from New York City, are found dozens of stone chambers, made of "grantite, quartz, quartzite, limestone and shale," made with precision, that may be at least 2,000 years old, and part of a lost American history which may have included Phoenician, ancient Celtic and early Irish-Celtic Christian explorers, according the fine studies in the book, conclusions ignored by the larger scienitific community because it does not fit established histories.
The book examines those we of SPACE are familiar with, such as the Reservoir (Upper Magnetic) Road chamber in Brewster, two on Route 301, one on Ninham Mountain, which peaks at 1,600 feet above sea level, Putam's highest point, and the huge "cathedral chamber" in Fahnstock State Park, as well as those we have never visited.
Here we make comparisions from our experiences with those of the author's research.
FROM CLOAKED FIGURES TO FIGURE 8s
__ One of the most startling accounts in the book is of "The Hooded Ones" in which a New York City paranormal research group encountered virtually the same phenomeon on Reservoir Road one year after our experience of May 27, 1991, but had a fearful reaction to it all, vowing never to return.
Their misadventure took place in front of the outcropping of rock just to the north of the stone chamber, involving the shimmering circle and the hooded ones emerging from that outcropping. While these folks fled, the reaction for me was to return, as the interaction with the cloaked figures was perceived as an "initiation" by others.
The electrical tingling of waves up my spine at that site fits in with a description of a boy's vision quest early in the 20th Century, as described to Imbrogno, at Ninham Mountain.
The morning before our August 14, 1988 experience in Brewster, my traveling companion, a talented psychic, told me of a important dream she felt would be of help. She drew the infinity sign, a figure eight, that vibrated in her dream.
In October 1985 a witness in nearby Kent Cliffs saw lights making an infinity sign in the sky, this being a seeming connection.
At some chambers we have had people experience physical effects, such as being drained of energy, dehyrdated and later feelng depressed, while others feel elation and more energetic and alive. Such has also been found in the authors' research.
Imbrogno's experience of flashing lights while alone one evening on Ninham reminded me of the "heat lightning" flashes we see in areas around our Magnetic Roads site, no mater what the weather. They are confined to a hill, a section of the woods, on the road or around us.
Like Imbrogno, we have found negative magnetic readings at a couple of these sites, including at our site in Brewster.
I was haunted by Imbrogno's description of concial stones in a circle in County Kerry, Ireland. When we saw dark conical shapes form on Reservoir Road in May 1991, their shapes reminded me, later, of such conical stones.
The Balanced Rock studies of the authors also conform to our experiences, with reports of feeling very light around this huge rock, which appeared to be carved in roughly the shape of a lion's head and appears to be deliberated placed there using old Bronze Age measurements to place the huge rock on small pedestal stones, distributing the weigh evenly.
The authors wisely included an appendix of tables and charts on the locations and characteristics of the chambers, cases of high strangeness and paranormal activity, EM pulses, and other vital scientific information.
They also discuss "America's Stonehenge" in North Salem, New Hampshire, an array of stone chambers amd astronomical arranged stones, which reminded us in SPACE when we visited there six years ago of the chambers in the Hudson Valley, only in a clustered village.
Through their intensive studies, the chambers, lost in the mists of time, have been found again, with their purposes likely recognized, all through the research which emerged from UFO sightings in the Hudson Valley. The authors feel they may offer "a path to enlightenment."

INSIDE A STONE CHAMBER IN 2000!
Harold Egeln stands inside a stone chamber during a trip to the chambers on September 9, 2000. This particular chamber is at the roadside of busy Highway #301 in rural Putnam County, and is one of the few of 125 chambers where one can stand up inside. It can accommadate about 20 or more people.
It was in this chamber in 1991 that Roberta Puhalski (SPACE-South director and Pensacola Beach Lady SPACE newsletter columnist) was shoved away by an invisible force near a wall to Egeln's right. Her daughter. standing behind her, caught her mother, preventing a fall.
The Balanced Rock, seen at the beginning of this page, had a sign posted saying that it was pushed there during the Ice Age as glaciers retreated north over 10,000 years ago.
The new sign, placed there recently by the North Salem Historical Society, now reads:
"The Balanced Rock is estimated to weigh 60 tons. Geologists refer to it as 'an erractic.' The boulder is composed of a granite that does not match rocks normally found in this vicinity and is thought to have been deposited here during the glacerial period.
"It has been suggested in recent years that this may be a dolmen, a Celtic ceremonial stone used to memorialize its dead."
Thanks to the work of Phil Imbrogno and other researchers, drawn to the chambers and the Balanced Rock because of the UFO flap of the late 20th Century, historians are now recognizing that an ancient people from Europe, centuries before Columbus, may have built these structures.
May a similar recognition on the UFO phenomenon by scientists and society be forthcoming in this new 21st Century!
