Rosicrucians

I guess I'll post one more message for this thread & then
I'll leave it alone.

If I recall correctly, the origins of Rosicrucians goes
back to the early 1700's. If you do some research into
this group you will indeed discover that their early
motto was about a secret society.

Now I'm thinking to myself, what if it was me that created
this society and I heard, saw, knew, that man people that
considered themselves Christians in Winston-Salem, USA,
were burning witches at the stake around this time period.
Would I keep my newly created society that proposed similar
concepts as practiced by "witches" a secret in general?
Hmmm... That's tough a tough one to call... I need time
to think about that one...

At some later point, assuming I decided to become a secret
organization, I would probably decide to go public
with it but I'd probably make pretty darn sure that this
announcement didn't occur prematurely.

Part of the reason for my decision would probably not be
just due to concern about immediate bodily harm but also
due to the fact that if I, indeed, have the ability to
accomplish some of the more extraordinary claims that I
have made, then I don't necessarily want this info to
easily get into the hands of those that would use this
"power" for subversive purposes. There is a certain
responsibility that follows unusual power, no?

This has been purely an exploratory mind exercise, btw.
I really, probably, don't know what the heck I'm talking about.
It is NOT meant to hurt anyones feelings. I don't believe
that anything is accompished by doing so. If that is one
of the side effects, than I probably didn't do as good
a job as I could have to form this letter.

Jeff,

Purely as a "theoretical exercise" on my part, and more or less
reflecting my opinion after two decades of research in related
areas, I believe that the group you are interested in is much,
much older, possibly as old as they claim, but due to the
pressures of being in such a group during some time-periods,
as well as in the interest of preserving their group, the
"Rosicrucian" persona was created, based on the fictional
character Christian Rosencreutz, from the 1615 book "The
Report of the Rosicrucian Brotherhood." The symbolism was
perfect for them, and to such groups, symbolism has great
meaning.

Often "illuminati" or secret society-type groups change outward
names and appearances, but the inner doctrines and mysteries
remain the same....The connections do exist between them and
the Bavarian Illuminati, Theosophists, etc. Some think they are
even connected to the Masonic groups, but I don't necessarily
believe this.

This is just my opinion, of course. And you sure as heck don't
have to worry about hurting my feelings!
