Dean,

There was a special on TV not too long ago about the "Missing," over in
Ireland. The big brew-hah didn't start until an American guy had his 21 year
old daughter disappear. Then the PD started to piece together a bunch of
missing people throughout a certain region, only after he wouldn't give up
pushing. They kind of eluded that they thought it might be some serial
killer, but now I am thinking they might have been abductions.

Mike

I saw this same program and was greatly disturbed. The same thought
occurred to me, but I couldn't find any info about this mystery online! The
abductions have all taken place in the region of the Wicklow Mountains,
which are in the east of Ireland. Dublin is just one of many cities near
the Wicklow Mountains. In Irish Fairy Tradition, the Wicklow Mountains were
believed to be the haunt of many types of underworld abductors, such as the
many varieties of the Sidhe (shee) and other fairies, as well as "witches"
and "sorcerers." In Irish folklore, the latter often have many parallels to
the modern MIB (which is itself an ancient form of visitation, sometimes
documented historically, as during the plague, with underworld and diabolic
implications or reputation).

If anyone has any more info on this mystery, or can find out more details,
I'd be much obliged to hear of it.

Thanks
