Ralph,

The center seems to be right at 85* North, 129* East. This corresponds very, very well with Nansen's experiences. ( I have just eyeballed Nansen's own chart with his own plotting )

Can anyone give me any ideas about width and breadth? Distance from the pole?

Thanks again for turning us on to this Ralph. I have a reputation for being the excitable one, but this seems to be the real Mc Coy.

I also have a reputation for being rathe open about things- I am letting the list members know about all this as soon as I am getting my own impressions.
