Moon and Earth

List Members,

Here is something from a lady on the Anomalous-images list. She has some
addresses showing the correct proportion between the Earth and the Moon.

Here it is:

Photography -- isn't it a lovely artform?
From a visual art point of view - there is a foreground and a
background; and Earth to moon distance, being
384 400 kilometers, its mass being a fraction of the Earth (?) it looks
pretty nice. Compare this image with:

which seems way way out of proportion, and looks like the moon is in low
earth orbit.
almost like the Mir:

This looks pretty close to reality, (I think, as I haven't been there)
"parting view of Earth and Moon from Voyager:

Hey - it's a moon - its small. But it is large enough and close enough
to work its wonders on planet Earth.
And large enough and close enough to be something like a binary planet
system.
Compare our moon to those dinky little rocks orbiting of Mars - which
may very well be two pieces of the a once larger moon, similar to
Earth's moon, and like Earth's moon worked its magic on the tidal forces
of that once watery world.
