Fw: AWS Data summaries

Members,

This is scientist guy from the Automatic Weather Stations place at the
Universtity of Wisconsin. He mentions further down that they don't have data
available for the AGO stations- those are the ones near the area which Rod
feels where the opening is, thanks to the Radarsat photo he got his paws on.

He must think that I am a frigging nut! But notice how polite he is.

I don't know why he calls me Deana. Maybe he thinks that hollow Earthers are
gay.

Oh well.

Later,

Dharma/Dean

Hello Deana,

Oh, I understand - yes, AGO 1, 4, and 5. Thanks for the clarification.

> Do you happen to know if the area between them is much traveled?

Not recently, that I know of, however, I understand that the ITASE
project proposes/plans to have much of the inland portions of the

continent

traveled/traversed for studies related to glaciology.

Oh, as a note, we have only offered 10 minute averaged data from the AGO
locations. Unfortunately since we last talked, I have not worked
towards getting updated data from the AGO team. Your note to me is a
good reminder for me to look into this. What AGO data we have is located
at:

ftp://ice.ssec.wisc.edu/pub/10min/avg

As far as I know, the AGO program only started in the 1990s - I'm not sure
there is any data further back that what currently offer.

Those summaries are for our own AWS units, and not the AGO sites. So,
no need to worry about them due to this fact. We have not made summaries
for the AGO data to date.

I'm sorry that I don't have other data handy right away. I'll see what
I can do about getting more recent data from the AGO team - please feel

free to

ยทยทยท

check in with me in regards to the progress of that. I may not be able to
promise much, depending on what data they have available, and our
projects in queue/time availability.

As always, thank you for your interest in our project.

Best Regards,

Matthew
