earth 3

Dean: That photo was from NASA Experimental Satellites http://roland.lerc.nasa.gov/~dglover/sat/earth3.gig ,Dean between The S. Pole and New Zealand you have major auroras and the Ross Ice Shelf is almost exactly opposite of Ellsmere Island on the globe. McMurdo Station is in this area and it was to be the final destinatina of the Bancroft Arnesen Expedition, but they were picked up early remember. Compare the shape of Australia upsidedown to the land mass in this photo. The area in the photo wasn't named. They just said it was a photo of earth. I was on a French site that had some good hollow earth photos, only half of the site would translate into English. Thats where I found out that the ATS 3 took good photos of the Polar regions in 1973.
