Cryptic toponymy

"Prof. Ionescu discovered the alchemical texts of Nostradamus and this was the basis of a much more advanced method in Nostradamian cryptanalysis. Prof. Ionescu showed that the prophet (Defined: one who fortells future events) used the secret language of the alchemists, which is the "Cabala Hermetica." One of its subtleties is the "cryptic toponymy," by which geographical names take other meanings through their etymological aspects or assonance."

Hi All!

The above cut was taken from a web page about Nostradamus and Prof. Ionescu's ability to decipher correctly the prophecies by unraveling the cryptogram. Apparently it is one that was used by alchemists and is called **"Cabala Hermetica"--**has anyone ever heard of a book about deciphering cryptograms which was the language of the alchemists....I am wanting to learn more about it is why I am asking.

The Prof. did mention that Geographical names take on other meanings, and of course, I thought of our good friend "Alice" where Carroll uses geography and historical figures, which I believe are indeed hiding the true message of his tale.

I also think, if one were to become experienced in deciphering cryptograms our knowledge would expand to such a place that perhaps we could read some of the tales like Etidorhpa and know exactly what the author was really writing instead of guessing.....Leslee
