Kirk,
I checked this out...the site is excellent so are Hoagland's

comments. This

is really freaky stuff. I remember last year there was quite a kick

up about

not wanting to break into the ecosystem..maybe Mike will find

his entry to

the Hollow Earth after all under the ice on Lake Vostok. This

tends to lend

some credence to Richard Bird and his flight over the region

during the

1940's and the reports of a subtropical landscape. Why the

goddam NSA...what

is there that's such a big secret?

Yes, Brian, Lake Vostok my either be the entrance to an
anomalous region, or adjacent to an entrance.

It's a strange and unexplainable lake, 2000 feet (!) deep in
places, yet the deeper one goes, the warmer the water gets....Ice
forms on the top near the shores, but that's it. And it is filled with
unknown, constantly-being-discovered life-forms.

When it comes to the possibility of hollow worlds and cavern
systems in the crust, never forget that ridicule is the first tool to
discredit ANY unorthodox idea. There is strong evidence for the
case of Byrd's alleged flight 1700 miles into an "unknown" region
at the North Pole (he said it himself), and after he returned from
Operation Highjump, he became almost apoplectic when urging
Congress to "turn Antarctica into an atomic testing range."

He was a very sane man, and he learned something that
disturbed him greatly. Shortly after he addressed Congress,
btw, he was "encouraged" to retire.

Have you ever wondered why, immediately following WWII, the
U.S., Russia, and European nations "divided Antarctica up like a
frozen pie?" Sorry, that last bit is from my book, I couldn't resist!
