I have a question: Are there Southern lights as well? I was discussing the HE
theory with someone the other day and they insisted that there was only the
Northern lights, that the South pole didn't have them. I mentioned the NASA
article to them to assure them that the aurora borealis was seen at both
poles, but they disagreed.

If Southern light is seen and measured then it is there.
Disagreeing will not make it disappear. Unless, of course, there is a
conspiracy going on that wants to hide the fact that there is no
Southern light. I see no point in that though. Why did they
disagree?
