This guy barricaded himself in pretty good, but maybe he was off so much
mentally that he was kind of immune to the pain, too. Just as some people,
when they snap, develop almost super human strength.>

PS He also has a history of being a "torch," but who knows, this guy might
have been picked out to be tortured to rule out any such suspicion.`

I had just never heard about it before--where have I been? What a horrible way to go, but as you say, he probably just snapped. I saw his past history -- and wondered about it. Just seems sooooo painful--but if he, or the man you described above, snapped, or frenzied, I guess they do not feel it. Let's hope not.
