Spontaneous moments is definitely what it does feel like when one journeys. A question I have always had is: Is it us who journey, or another who comes for us----teleportation? I have often wondered this because I believe there are many astral planes of existence. Anywhere from 9 - 12. (probably 12 as this number, or the multile of, relates to many mystical secrets) All planes of course are above us. I also think that those who exist say on "plane" 3 can venture into plane 1&2. But, can they go higher than plane 3? I would think that there has to be a certain intelligence level, or spiritual living, that depends on how high one can travel. In other words, some type of requirement to ascend. This is what makes me sometimes wonder if we are actually "summoned" as opposed to "spontaneous travel", as the time in-between (getting there) is not seen, or felt, we are just there. At least in my experience, I am just there, it just is? Which brings me to another question--are we in both places as once?
I also think teleportation is a plausible explanation of sudden disappearances of people who simple vanish w/o a clue.

I can't comment on being that other one. When I have crossed paths with who/what I believe are "other people/entities I do hold a sense of understanding about them.

I never thought of it like this before, maybe because I have not felt "love" but have felt a tranquility and peace in some places, others not so peaceful. A place I will call the "Crystal City" for lack of better term is one place that I could say come close to emitting a love vibration, but I also had the impression that it was a learning place, or a place where knowledge could be gathered if one had the right intentions. I did find this place the most beautiful in a mystical sense (all shimmering with an iridescent light), and was stuck by how they moved---glided across what we would call air, as opposed to walking.

With your ability to enter into an animals mind/emotions, have you thought of "Animal Reading" for a living or hobby. I understand there is quite a call for this. I know an older woman in the Chicago area that does this and she makes more reading animals than humans. Or, do you already do this?

I think you have been very lucky in your travels as to not have run across "evil". Or, had to do battle with "evil" Myself, I think there is good and evil on most, if not all, astral planes, it is a balance of opposites. I do not think there could be an existence without both. I am also a firm believer in "true evil" being born, not made. I have had to battle some evil in my travels, not many, (knock on wood) but a few. And it is extremely frightening. So, you must be somehow blessed as to not have encountered it. To back me up a little on this, I journeyed once with "an ancient sage as old as dust", and he introduced the thought in me that war is everywhere, in all of the universe. I believe it.

It is a great learning, an expansion, as a result of which I am never the same contracted human being again (try though I might...).>
I believe you indeed astral travel. (I often wonder if many people do, but are unaware of it?) One of the reasons I so strongly believe in both astral travel and reincarnation , is that I do not believe we, as a planet, would be as technologically as advanced as we are if knowledge were not somehow either "beamed" down into us, or that we simply have picked up where we left off after our last death.
In my line of work I have often had people ask me what "Heaven" is like? Is everyone together? My belief, on what I myself have experienced, is that there are various Heaven's and "no" not everyone is together------I think it depends on what type of life we live here as to where we end up after death. It is almost as if in the same place as earth, w/o body. That is another reason I believe in many astral planes. Perhaps when we live enough times to learn the "true secret of life" then we will reach the top plane and not have to return to earth. I'm up for that! Yet, we will probably be some type of intelligence that either transports souls up from earth for a "meeting of minds" or teaches on another plane.
