The following is the last paragraph of Chapter 16. we have already become
familiar with the idea that light passes through the shell of the Earth in
the form of an unseen, soft particle, then breaks up into its constituent
light. Read on-
" We passed through a dry, well ventilated apartment. Stalactite formations
still existed, indicative of former periods of water drippings, but as we
journeyed onward I saw no evidence of present percolations, and the
developing and erosive agencies that had worked in ages past must long ago
have been suspended. The floor was of solid stone, entirely free from loose
earth and fallen rocky fragments. It was smooth upon the surface, but
generally disposed in gentle undulations. The peculiar, soft, radiant light
to which my guide referred as " vitalized darkness" or " revivified
sunshine," pervaded all the space about me, but I could not by its agency
distinguish the sides, of the vast cavern. The brightness was of a species
that while it brought into distinctness objects that were near at hand, lost
its unfolding power or vigor a short distance beyond. I would compare the
effect to that of a bright light shining through a dense fog, were it not
that the medium about us was, transparent- not milky. The light shrunk into
nothingness. It passed from existence behind and about me as if it were
annihilated, without wasting away in the opalescent appearance once familiar
as that of a spreading fog. Moreover, it seemed to detail such objects as
were within the compass of a certain area close about me, but to lose in
intensity beyond. The buttons on my coat appeared as distinct as they ever
did when I stood in the sunlight, and fully one-half larger than I formerly
knew to be. The corrugations on the palms of my hands stood out in bold
serpentine relief that I observed clearly when I held my hands near my eye,
my fingers appeared clumsy, and all parts of my person were magnified in
proportion. The region at the limits of my range of perception reminded the
of nothingness, but not of darkness. A circle of obliteration defined the
border of the luminous belt which advanced as we proceeded, and closed in
behind us. This line, or rather zone of demarkation that separated the seen
from the unseen, appeared to be about two hundred feet away, but it might
have been more or less, as I had no method of measuring distances."
The Man said: " The buttons on my coat appeared as distinct as they ever did
when I stood in the sunlight, and fully one-half larger than I formerly knew
to be." Do you see what is happening? First of all, the light is localized
at this point, he can only see a few feet. It is only deeper down that the
light becomes omnipresent as far as he can see. Not very much in the way of
soft particles has broken up yet into visible light. But the cavern where he
is happens to be so imbued with a flow of soft particles that the soft
particles ACT AS A LENSE and make the buttons on his coat seem to be even
larger than they really are.
Soft particles also permeate outer space and interfere with the astronomer's
attempts to measure distances, even planetary distances, because they act
like a lense and refract light and radiation, as in radar radiation. Cater
says, for example, that the Moon is about 10% closer to us than they say,
and that Mars is closer, too, and larger- that due to the refraction of
light, Mars appears further away and smaller. This reinforces some other
evidence which Cater plants before us. He tells that the base of Olympus
Mons was measured by the local radar of a probe to be 375 miles in diameter.
Given the generally accepted diameter of the planet, this means that Olympus
Mons is about 9% as wide as the planet, which it is not. It stretches across
about 3% of the planet's diameter. When you extrpolate, 375 miles as a 3 %
diameter gives Mars a total, true diameter of around 11,000 miles. It is
wider than the Earth. Astronomers think it is closer than it is and smaller,
it is just that the soft particle atmosphere of the solar system, the cosmic
rays, refract their attempts at measurement. If this is too much of a shock
to you, then maybe you would like to think that Olympus Mons extends across
9 % of the planet's surface, even though your eye, looking at any good
picture of Mars, or a globe, will tell you otherwise. There is no easy way
out!
Even well meaning " alternative " astronomers cannot explain some of the
phenomena that has come to their attention. Nor are they much inclined to
listen because humans have egos and hey- who is Cater after all? A lot of us
want to prove that we know, that we can figure it out, not some obscure kook
named Cater who talks about the book Etidorhpa, of all things.
Now you know why Etidorhpa made such an impression on Cater. He already had
the idea that gravity was brought about by an electromagnetic force, and
that a redistribution of frequency was going on. These ideas were confirmed
by the phenomena described in Etidorhpa, especially in passages like the one
described above. His first hollow Earth book was Pellucidar, and it didn't
do too much for him. He had read Journey to the Center of the Earth, too,
but when he read Etidorhpa, he knew that he was on to something. Remember
the following?
Joseph H. Cater, in his book The Ultimate Reality, has the following
comments to make regarding the book Etidorhpa:
" It is important at this stage to mention a book concerning the hollow
Earth, the finest that has yet been written. It not only contains more
important factual information than any other book, but also goes far beyond
them in other respects. This great book probably contains more profound
metaphysical and scientific truths than any other book written up to the
present. The book is entitled Etidorhpa and was first published in 1895.
Some books are written in the form of a novel in order to present certain
ideas or truths without inviting undue attack from various quarters.
Etidorhpa is considered by most to be a science fiction book. Any
intelligent and discerning reader realizes that it isn't."
I hope I've given you enough to go on. One list member just ordered the book
for two dollars and something., plus shipping, through www.bibliofind.com .
Don't waste your time, get that book and familiarize yourselves with it.
Cater's book is a natural commentary on Etidorhpa ( and more, too. ) Get his
book also: http://www.healthresearchbooks.com/Authors/joseph_cater.htm
Either the new edition, The Ultimate Reality, or the older one, The Awesome
Life Force, will do. One is just a re-do of the other.
But do something! Nobody knows this stuff.
